What a week!
We talked about keeping things “pumpkin” without going overboard “Halloween” for Pumpkin Party Week.
We launched our new Holiday Banners!!
And we chatted with ya’ll about our awesome September POP Project:

A pumpkin party is a wonderful opportunity to get a second use out of a Halloween costume. My own son’s birthday is in October and even when his theme isn’t Halloween related he often asks me if he can wear his costume (of course it’s his favorite outfit at that time each year!)… Encourage your guests to come party in style and wear their costumes!
And what are costumes without a costume contest where everybody wins! Make awards on the fly that apply to each person’s attire with our awesome free printable:
“Most Spooky”, “Prettiest Princess”, “Scariest”, “Most Silly”, the possibilities are endless and let the birthday boy/girl help you decide which guest is awarded what.
For another activity rather than carve pumpkins, why not paint them? And rather than paint them like this:
Why not paint them like this:
or pin them like this:
or if you want to ditch the pumpkins all together we found another darling craft that will double as Halloween party decor in your guest’s homes for years to come!
Whether permitting we thought it might be fun to get outside and have some fun as well:
Don’t send your guests home empty handed! These paper pumpkin favor bags can be filled with goodies and these waffle cone candy favors are just about as cute as it gets!
Tomorrow we’ll be drawing the winner of a digital “you print” invite good for any party in our shop so be sure to leave a comment on any post this week to be entered to win!

We are doing our best to make a distinction between our Pumpkin Party and any old Halloween party by focusing less on the actually “spooky” side and more on the warm harvest side of this time of year with just a splash of spooky (take it or leave it).
Initially we thought a pumpkin soup or warm chili would be that perfect cozy meal for a pumpkin party, but if we’re being realistic (and aren’t we always) soup ain’t really a crowd pleaser when kids are your crowd. Perhaps keep the soup in mind for your adult guests and let’s do personal pan pumkin shaped pizzas for the kids!
The kids will have fun decorating AND devouring (food doubling as an activity, yay!)
Accented with some veggies:
and some fruit:
and your Pumpkin Party spread is coming right along! Now to the real fun… the sweets:
those owl cupcakes are about as adorable as it comes and SO SIMPLE!!
For drinks we adore this pumpkin punch bowl and what better to go inside than this pumpkin punch recipe.
Once everyone is good and satisfied they’ll have all the energy in the world to tackle the activity ideas we’ll be talking about tomorrow so get back here for that. If you haven’t entered to win a free digital “you print” invite good for any party in our shop please do so by leaving a comment on any post this week. We’ll draw the winner on Friday.

The Pumpkin Party is one of newer designs that similar to last week, we haven’t had a chance to list in the shop. This customer party was too cute not to share even though we only have a couple images.
A little tower of cuteness from the tip of the smash cake topper down to the party hat ribbon! We love how this customer rotated between little pumpkins on top of the cupcakes and our cupcake toppers.
A bag of halloween candy/goodies to thank guests for coming!
Please keep in mind each and every one of our orders can be customized. If you want a little more orange/brown and a little less pink, let us know! This party can also be made a bit more boy friendly by making that adorable little pumpkin a little less girly, just ask!
Coming up tomorrow we’ll be talking food and drink ideas for the pumpkin party so come on back for that and if you haven’t already please leave a comment on this post in order to be entered to win a free digital “you print” invitation good for any party in our shop. Thanks!
With Halloween right around the corner we know many of you are planning little gatherings to celebrate. What we want to make sure is that all your little October Birthday boys and girls don’t get lost in the holiday shuffle. Rather than fight the trend and pick party decor that has nothing to do with Halloween, why not use it to your advantage?
It’s our hope that Pumpkin Party Week gives you plenty of birthday friendly ideas for the month of October that will make your little one feel like a million bucks while still utilizing all the awesome pumpkin/autumn/Halloween ideas that are out there! Tomorrow we’ll be featuring a customer party highlighting some of the girly decor, but the rest of the week is gender neutral. This is a new party, not currently listed in our shop so if you want it, just convo us over on Etsy and we’ll get it started for you.
As always, you’re just a comment away from being entered to win a free digital “you print” invite good for any party in our shop. We’ll draw the winner this Friday, but come back here later today for a big announcement we can’t wait to share with you!!
