Penguin Party Week is coming to a close, Christmas is just a couple days away and 2013 is about to begin.  Why do things have to change!?  We’ve had so much fun chatting with ya’ll about these waddling weirdos and not only does Penguin Party Week mark our last week of blogging for 2012 (we’re taking a week break, hope you can handle it ;) ), but it marks our last “winter” party we’ll be featuring this year.

We wish you all a very happy holiday and even happier new year.  Hopefully winning this week’s digital invite giveaway, (CONGRATS Kristen Coral), will kick one of our readers new year off right!  We’ve got some amazing news to share with you in 2013 and we hope you’ll all come back here to check it out!

Our Pink Penguin Party Week activities work well for this week too and we don’t want to not mention them, so…

A couple new additions we’d like to add to the bunch include:

penguin pinatasnow play dough, musical ice-bergs, and this adorable penguin mask diy!

For favors we spotted these ornaments and fell in love:

As we mentioned back during Pink Penguin Party Week, a fun decor touch would be to hang these penguin beach balls throughout the space, sending each child home with one as a party favor!

Tomorrow we’ll share our Penguin Party Inspiration Board and share the winner of our giveaway.  We hope you’ll come back and check it out and if you’d still like to leave a comment on any post this week in order to be entered to win a digital “you print” invite good for any party in our shop, there’s still time!

We had some pretty adorable Pink Penguin Party food and drink ideas featured during Pink Penguin Party week and they’re worth hopping over to look at again (in our humble opinion), including cozy food in the form of grilled cheese and a couple of soups:

But in an effort to give you some original ideas as well this week we’ve got a couple adorable nibbles:

and sweet treats:

to choose from!  Don’t limit yourself to food that looks like penguins, we love the idea of using igloos and fish to expand upon your Penguin Party menu.

Guests can steal our idea from Pink Penguin Party Week and offer a delicious hot cocoa bar or wash it all down with a personalized penguin water bottle:

If it’s snowing in your neck of the woods odds are there are plenty of snow related activities that fit with the penguin theme – just setting the kids free to play outside before coming in to enjoy their hot cocoa bar would work!  If you’re more like us over here in Seattle and you can’t count on the snow we’ve got a couple Pink Penguin Party ideas for you to work with including…

This penguin craft:

A penguin game:

A penguin pinata:

Is it just me or is the thought of taking a bat to that sweet face a little heartbreaking?  If the kids will have fun, then the adults will have to grin and bare it ;) .

And this penguin artwork (love the addition of the pink bow):

A fun decor touch would be to hang these penguin beach balls throughout the space, sending each child home with one as a party favor!

Some additional favor ideas include these hair clips which are darling and would match the Pink Penguin Party perfectly if you gave the penguin it’s own little pink bow.  However, if you’re not the craftiest of crafter you could buy pre-made clips like these we found on Etsy or scrap the clips and stick with this hot cocoa party favor.  Not only does it pair well with the hot cocoa bar we discussed yesterday, but it looks way cuter than the effort put into making it!

Budget friendly fun for all!  Get back here tomorrow to have a look at our week’s round up of all things Pink Penguin and find out if you won the digital invitation good for any party in our shop, all you have to do to enter is leave a comment on any post this week!

sweets

We toyed with incorporating penguin meat into the menu for the Pink Penguin Party, but actually eating penguin seemed kind of inappropriate, and probably illegal and well just plain gross.

Instead we thought we’d stick with warm, cozy food in the form of grilled cheese and a couple of soups:

Using mugs as your serving dish keeps with that “cozy” feel and is great for that smaller kid friendly serving size.

Accent the soup table with toppings and these adorable olive penguins:

Sweets come in the form of food and drink when you incorporate a hot cocoa bar:

We love how Bower Power used individual coasters to add a splash of festive color and candy cane stirring sticks are a cute/inexpensive touch.

These peppermint chocolate dipped marshmallows and chocolate spoons are tasty stirring sticks and super simple to make too… guests can take their pick.

Cozy, warm, cute and creative!  CHECK, CHECK, CHECK, CHECK!  Tomorrow we’ll turn our hot cocoa idea into a handy little party favor and we’re talking about a couple penguin party activities so get back here for that.  Enter to win a digital “you print” invite good for any party in our shop by leaving a comment on any post this week.

We’re always thrilled when we actually get one of our designs pictured so ya’ll know you can order it!  Time flies and often times our design team has created something adorable and we’ve shipped it out so quickly we lose out on the opportunity to actually photograph all our hard work.  BLAST!

Well not today folks, not today.  We’re proud to announce our Pink Penguin Party – New in Shop!

This particular party included 24 cupcake toppers and a 2 length banner but please keep in mind each and every party we create is MADE TO ORDER!  We can create anything on our shop menu to match this Pink Penguin Party theme and we’re happy to do so!

Loving this design??  Leave a comment on any post this week and you’re entered to win a digital “you print” invite customized for your next event!  Go with the Pink Penguin or pick any other party listed in our shop… up to you!

We told you all about how we put birds on things back during “Owl Party Week” and flightless birds are no exception:

This winter wonder may not seem so kid friendly in the picture above but put a Chilly Willy spin on things:

And you’ve got yourself a couple penguin-fied parties worth smiling about!

This week we’ll be focusing our efforts on the third penguin for Pink Penguin Party Week, but stay tuned in the coming weeks cause each of these waddling bad boys is gonna get some love.
