Grad Party week has been a fun one for us! It’s nice to take a break from the “norm” (being kid parties) and chat about celebrating with fellow adults from time to time. How fitting that the grad party is a great excuse to celebrate your kids turning into adults!

Since the grad party isn’t exactly for children we don’t know how crucial an activity is, but one activity we thought was too darling not to mention was to set up a photo booth and have a chalk board where guests can jot down which year they graduated:
Most craft stores sell chalkboards or of course you can always find them on good ole Etsy!
Grandma might write “Class of 1940″, Aunt Pam might say “Class of 1975″ and Uncle Buddy might just say “Class of wouldn’t you like to know!” – Let guests have fun with it and what a fun memory for you to put into a photo album to enjoy for years to come!
Include photo booth props, to make the booth all that more interesting:
Another idea we thought was, well… thoughtful is this sweet little memory/hope jar:
Get a large mason jar and some note cards and let people write wishes for the grad or memories with the grad to stick inside. If you’re graduate is headed off to college this can be something they read that first night in the dorms.
Thank your guests for coming by giving them your smiling grad’s photo slapped on a pack of m&m’s:
We find these so funny! But hey, they totally serve their purpose right? Put them inside these handy little grad hat gift boxes paired with our favor tags and WAH LAH! Check your graduation party favors off your list of things to think about!
Today is the last day to enter to win a digital “you print” invite good for any party in our shop by leaving a comment on any post this week! Get back here tomorrow to see our graduation party inspiration board as we announce the winner.
The nice thing about a Grad Party is it doesn’t have to be too “theme-y”… you can play with the school colors for cohesiveness, but other than that, here’s a couple cute food and drink ideas we thought were fun:
school letter fruit kabobs
Apples can be used as centerpieces, decor or as part of your menu!
Functional decor for anyone that wants to grab an apple and eat it! And of course we had to include some sweet treats:
Drinks are easy enough, just make a classic punch in your grad’s school colors and you’re good to go! Adorn with our cups and straws and you take your drink table from zero to hero!
We just love the ”Independence Punch” above and think it would be awesome to borrow the tutorial substituting red/white/blue for your grad’s school colors.

Cute right!? From there we can coordinate a party’s worth of decorations, but today we’re featuring a party for a graduate we did last year who happened to have green/black/yellow school colors (just use your imagination if these don’t happen to be your grad’s school colors):
This photo banner has to be, hands down, the funnest photo banner we’ve done yet and it was 18 years in the making!
Whether you’re one of those moms that saved the school photo each year or just have a favorite photos from certain monuments in your child’s life, you’re going to be so pleased to see this banner in action.
From there, decor like centerpiece sticks for inside jars of coordinating candy and floral arrangements:
a door sign:
and thank you tag/favor stickers:
complete the look! As a whole you’re looking at quite the party especially when paired with our new POP Party Supplies:
Additional decor we thought helps set the scene includes yearbooks (any of the graduates and maybe any others you have laying around?) stacks of books, chalkboards and apples:

We customize thousands of kid parties every year and we’ve got a little motto kind of lingering in the back of our minds we like to call “There’s a party for that!” which basically is our way of saying if you can think it, our amazing design team can create a party around it. This results in some tweaks to current designs:
Some of the most random parties:
as well as adorable themes we’re dying to get in shop:
Some times we think we get so buried in the kid parties that many of you might not even think of us for other events and we’re going to spend the next couple weeks trying to change your mind… starting with the Graduation Party.
The Grad Party we now have listed in shop is just an example of what we can do. Whatever your grad’s school colors may be or say you’d like to include their school mascot?? There’s a party for that! Stay tuned all week as we unravel graduation party ideas, reveal some of our new decor and encourage you to think of us for your next grad party!
