Camping Inspiration Board

This week’s inspiration board makes us smile…  Something about this spin on a good old fashioned campout makes us excited for the summer months, and all the things a great camping adventure offers:

Then we remember it’s still winter, it’s still freezing stinking cold outside and we won’t be camping any time soon and suddenly we’re liking this party even more because it lets us pretend ;) .

Congrats to Jade (and thanks for your kind words on Tuesday) – you’re this week’s winner of a digital “you print” invite good for any party in our shop!  We’ll be in touch shortly to start the process of claiming your prize!

Next week we’re moving from the bold woodsy dark hues in the camping party to pastel and pretty and it’s pretty fantastic.  We hope you come by to check it out!

We loved the real party campground featured Tuesday on this here blog we thought it was worth mentioning one more time as we round up a couple favor and activity suggestions for the Camping Theme.

Mama Bear pushed all of the couches and end tables out of the way so her entire downstairs was committed to the make-shift campground complete with tents created easy peasy using this tutorial.and a campfire thanks to  A Heart For Crafts.  You’ve got to see this campfire set in person to believe it:

sometimes just setting the scene and letting the kids be creative from there is all you need to do!  The kids at this party had so much fun weaving in and out of the tents and roasting faux marshmallows!

We’re also loving this idea for tree branch blocks and army men.  An inexpensive activity that again allows your happy campers to roll with their imagination:

For favors we love these s’mores-to-go and think wrapping them in a bandanna tied to a stick is the most darling way to send your campers onto greener pastures post campout ;) .

If the party ends after the sun goes down, flashlight favors can lead the way home as well:

Tomorrow’s your last chance to enter to win a digital “you print” invite good for any party in our shop by leaving a comment on any post this week so get to it and get back here to check out our Camping Party Inspiration Board as well!

Traditional camping goodies like hotdogs and corn on the cob pair great with treats like ants on a log, it’s creativity for the kids meets nostalgia for you and all your older guests that have certainly been camping at least once in their life!

Keeping the corn warm wrapped in tin-foil will be both functional and adds to the rustic camping vibe.

Next up we had to give mad props to the creator of this trail mix bar and we’re dying to know just who that is!  I gave TinEye a try which will search for the origin of an image based on the image url and I got nada.  If you happen to know who deserves credit for this please leave it in the comments.  In the meantime, we’re happy to enjoy the idea and believe this bar doesn’t look too shabby when paired with our centerpiece sets and our Trail Mix Bar sign (if you’re looking for our most humble opinion).

For sweets what’s more token camping than sticky, melted marshmallows?  We’ve got a couple variations included in the collage below along with some of our camping cupcake toppers and these adorable camping cookies.

Speaking of s’mores you can also get all fancy shmancy and take a some inspiration from this s’more roasting station:

Our absolute favorite sweet for the camping party is actually the simplest of all… an “out of the box” cake, brown frosting and this adorable fondant topper set which comes custom with your child’s name!  TOO DARLING and for just close to $20 total (including the cake), we’ll worth it!

and don’t forget about fish, worms and frogs… camping party musts!

For drinks we’re stealing the “mud puddles” idea from the party we featured yesterday and agree that chocolate milk is the way to go!  How cute are our straws in those washed out frappucino bottles??  Our water bottle labels aren’t too shabby either ;) .

Who’s ready for a campout!?  Tomorrow we’ll highlight some fun activities and favors for the camping party so come on back here for that and if you haven’t already, enter to win a digital “you print” invite good for any party in our shop by leaving a comment on any post this week!!

We might say this every time we see one of our new designs live in action, but this Camping Party might just be our new favorite!  We love each and every little detail our Lead Designer (Miss Michelle) worked in from the wood grains to the ginghams to… well why don’t you just have a look for yourself!

Here’s our door sign welcoming guests as they arrived at Camp Noah:

Our invitation on display with a party favor, and friendly little snake (nice touch Mama Bear ;) )…

The happiest camper of all, Noah, who’s an excellent model for our new iron-ons – this one turned out too darling!

And now onto the food:

Mama Bear worked with another Etsy vendor to complete her cake, and the fondant from Haute Tart turned out amazing!!  The tiny little s’mores set is to die for!

We’re loving what a functional snack this “Happy Trails” mix turned out to be!  A couple cleaned out soup cans keep with the rustic elements of the party and the goodies that go inside are perfect for the little ones to munch on (think raisins, cheerios, goldfish crackers, white chocolate chips, pretzels, etc.)

And how cute is this… send kids to a separate space aka “The Campground” and push all your couches out of the way so you have room for some good old fashioned camping fun!

This fireplace set is from the brilliant A Heart For Crafts, and you’ve got to see it in person to believe it:

Well worth the $50 price tag not a single detail is spared, this set is something your happy camper will have fun with on future campouts and really sets the scene for your guests!!  The tents were based on this tutorial.

For favors Mama Bear picked up the orange bowls at the $1 store and was able to fill the bowls with DIY s’more sets, toy snakes and other goodies:

We’re hoping Noah had as much fun at the party as we had seeing all of our party decor live in action.  Mama Bear couldn’t have done a better job of setting the scene and bringing our decor to life!  Get back here tomorrow when we’ll be elaborating on some of the food and drink ideas shared today (and more)… and if you haven’t already, enter to win a digital “you print” invite good for any party in our shop by leaving a comment on any post this week!
