pin the spots on the ladybug

Our sweet little lady has inspired a few fun party activities and favors we can’t wait to share with you, so here goes!

“Pin the Spots on the Ladybug” is a fun game that’s hard to lose… since our Lady has spots all over her back ;) .  A game where everybody wins never hurt nobody:

Give each child a ladybug cake pop for their effort:

A couple craft activities we thought would be fun include rock painting as well as red and black beads:

Kids can paint their own ladybug rocks and make their own ladybug friendship bracelets.  The fun in all of this is there is absolutely no right way to do it!  Creativity is welcomed!

We also loved this tutorial for a old can of Folgers coffee turned ladybug jar:

If you want to get really ambitious, pick up a couple packages of these fake ladybugs and send your guests on a hunt around your yard/house to fill their jar.

After a couple activities on the more “calm and quiet” side we thought something more upbeat would be nice and while this Ladybug Pinata looks fun and all:

there’s something about whacking a ladybug with a bat that just doesn’t seem right, so we found a much kinder alternative:

Lastly we thought this simple little Ladybug tic-tac-toe set was fun and could keep kids busy on the side:

Send your guests home looking like little ladies along with all of their new little crafts in hand for the perfect party favor combination!

And we just had to give a little love to these ADORABLE polka dot outfits… ummmm… so stinkin’ cute right?

With today being Valentine’s Day we thought this theme was so spot on (pun intended)!  Plus, our Ladybug is more of a Lovebug since the spots on her back are actually hearts.  Come back tomorrow to see all of this week’s ideas compiled into our Ladybug Party Inspiration board and don’t forget to leave a comment on any post this week in order to be entered to win a digital “you print” invite good for any party in our shop!

Sometimes the most simple color schemes can actually provide room for plenty of  food and drink inspiration.  With the Ladybug Party all you really need is red and black and you’re good!  Think red candies, black olives, red fruits, black berries, red punch, black straws… you catch our drift.

Or take things quite literally and make ladybug bites!

Doesn’t our cutlery mix in smashingly?  For sweets we couldn’t resist this ladybug cake pan and you don’t need mad frosting skills to do a chocolate head, red body, and chocolate dots!

We also love these sweet treat ideas from the ever-so-creative RoseBakes:

For a refreshments we spotted this tasty looking ladybug punch!  Those are blueberries floating inside:

Now wasn’t that easy?  There’s more simple ideas where these came from coming up tomorrow in the form of activities and favors so don’t forget to come back and check ‘em out!
